• Read it slowly - word by word, line by line.

Do you find such pieces of advice significant?
They might seem beneficial to most of us, but are far from easy to follow!
In fact, there are several invisible obstructions on the path, and it's possible to lose hope midway.
Why?
One of the biggest hindrances is - Old Habits.
They actually die hard, because they're the default option at first, and it takes a whole lot of convincing that there are better ways to accomplish the task at hand.
You might be accustomed to:
- Skimming through a large paragraph or piece of text.
- Paying attention to only a small part of what is being said, while you're forming your reply.
- Replying as soon as you receive a message or mail.
- The insatiable urge to reply in a conversation, even without thinking well.
We are forced to give up our old ways when they no longer serve us, or end up hurting us.
In some instances it takes a very long time to realize that we need to change, after we’ve done some irreparable damage.
Observing ourselves while doing something is key to avoid/treat such habits.
We can't become the best versions of ourselves before we understand the need to repair our current state of affairs.

See you next week!
